PDFolio is a static web application. It has no account system, API, upload service, analytics script, advertising tag, or document database.

What happens when you choose a file

Your browser reads the file into the active tab and sends its bytes to a local Web Worker. The worker processes the file and returns the result to the same tab for download. PDFolio does not send document content to a server.

When task data is removed

Clearing a task releases the selected file references and result data. Closing or refreshing the page also clears temporary in-memory task data. PDFolio does not persist documents in local storage.

Browser support

PDFolio targets current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari releases. Image exporting relies on browser canvas capabilities and may have more limited support in older Safari versions.
