What “PDF edit” means at PDFolio
PDF editing can mean several different things. PDFolio gives you the everyday document controls that preserve the PDF format: merge files, split a document, reorder pages, rotate a page that scanned sideways, delete pages you do not need, or extract a selected range into a new file. You can also add page numbers, headers, footers, watermarks, signatures, highlights, text, shapes, and annotations. Each tool begins with a page preview so you can review the exact pages before starting the local job.
The file stays in memory in the active browser tab while it is being handled. Clearing the task, refreshing the page, or closing the tab releases that temporary task data. PDFolio does not claim to reflow or rewrite the original text layer like a word processor; it focuses on dependable page-level editing and document markup.
PDF edit free, with clear choices
Choose a tool, add local files, set the options, process, then download the result. There are no accounts, subscriptions, or server-side file retention. Each workspace shows its local-processing behavior and locks its controls while a job is running so the configuration cannot change halfway through the task.
For example, use Merge PDF to arrange several files into one document. Use Split PDF or Extract Pages to create smaller files for a specific recipient. Use Organize PDF when the pages are in the wrong order, or Rotate PDF when a scan needs correction. These tools are useful for contracts, bank statements, school work, IDs, invoices, and other documents that deserve more privacy than a generic upload service can offer.
Crop, resize, and optimize PDF pages
The Crop PDF tool removes unwanted edges, scanner borders, or excess white space from selected pages.
