About PDF workflow builder

Chain multiple PDF operations together and run them in a single click. Prepare monthly reports, standardise documents before archiving, or apply a consistent set of edits (like compress + watermark) repeatedly.

This tool is a pipeline builder for the existing local operations. It does not support conditional logic or branching workflows. If a step fails, the entire workflow is halted.

How PDFolio helps you PDF workflow builder

The workflow builder runs in your browser. It loads the PDF once and applies each selected operation in sequence, returning the final document.

If you only need to perform a single operation, using the standalone tool for that task is simpler and faster.

Before you download

The order of steps matters. Compressing before adding a watermark keeps the watermark crisp. Encrypting must always be the final step.

When the result is ready, download it immediately and open it in your usual PDF viewer to make a final check. You can then use Clear task data to release temporary file references from this browser tab. PDFolio does not create an account, cloud folder, or server-side document history.

A private way to PDF workflow builder

PDFolio handles the selected files in the active browser tab. A Web Worker on your device performs the PDF task so the interface can remain responsive; document bytes are not sent to a PDF processing server, upload queue, account database, or advertising platform.

Steps

  1. Add your PDFs.
  2. Build a sequence of operations (e.g. Compress, Page Numbers).
  3. Run the workflow and download the results.

Good to know: The order of operations matters. Encryption must come last.

Frequently asked questions

Does the order of steps matter?

Yes. The sequence is applied top-to-bottom. For example, adding page numbers before deleting pages might result in incorrect numbering.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The PDF is processed entirely in your active browser tab.

Does PDF workflow builder change my original file?

No. PDFolio creates a new file for download. Your source file remains unchanged on your device.
