About merge PDF files

Combine two or more PDFs into one file in the order you choose. Use it for a contract and appendix, several scanned pages, a report with supporting material, or any document packet that is easier to send and archive as one PDF.

Merging copies page content, so what arrives in the combined file is every page exactly as it looked, including images, links, and text you can still select. What does not survive is document-level structure: bookmark outlines are not rebuilt, and interactive form fields from different sources can collide when they share field names. Password-protected sources should be unlocked before merging rather than added directly. There is no page limit beyond the memory your browser tab can hold, which in practice means very large scans are the first thing to struggle on a phone.

How PDFolio helps you merge PDF files

The file order shown in the workspace becomes the document order in the downloaded PDF. Review the names and sequence before processing. If you need to change the order of pages inside a source PDF, use Organize PDF first, then merge the reordered copy.

Merge works at the level of whole documents. If the pages inside one PDF are in the wrong order, fix that with Organize PDF first and merge the corrected copy, because reordering after the merge means working out where each source document ended up. If you only want part of a source, run Extract Pages on it first: merging everything and deleting afterwards costs you an extra pass and makes the page numbers harder to reason about.

Before you download

The result is one standard PDF for viewing, printing, and sharing. For a large collection, work in sensible batches and inspect the final sequence so a missing attachment or duplicate scan is easy to catch.

When the result is ready, download it immediately and open it in your usual PDF viewer to make a final check. You can then use Clear task data to release temporary file references from this browser tab. PDFolio does not create an account, cloud folder, or server-side document history.

A private way to merge PDF files

PDFolio handles the selected files in the active browser tab. A Web Worker on your device performs the PDF task so the interface can remain responsive; document bytes are not sent to a PDF processing server, upload queue, account database, or advertising platform.
