About flip PDF pages

Mirror selected PDF pages horizontally (left-to-right) or vertically (top-to-bottom). Prepare designs for T-shirt heat transfers, glass window decals, reversed blueprint scans, or backwards camera captures.

Interactive form widgets are flattened into static page geometry on flipped pages.

How PDFolio helps you flip PDF pages

PDFolio embeds each target page and applies a negative scale transformation matrix (-1, 1 or 1, -1) in a local Web Worker so vectors and fonts stay sharp.

If a page is simply sideways or upside-down rather than mirrored in a mirror, use Rotate PDF instead.

Before you download

All text on flipped pages will appear mirrored (backwards), which is intentional for transfer printing and reverse-mounted signage.

When the result is ready, download it immediately and open it in your usual PDF viewer to make a final check. You can then use Clear task data to release temporary file references from this browser tab. PDFolio does not create an account, cloud folder, or server-side document history.

A private way to flip PDF pages

PDFolio handles the selected files in the active browser tab. A Web Worker on your device performs the PDF task so the interface can remain responsive; document bytes are not sent to a PDF processing server, upload queue, account database, or advertising platform.

Steps

  1. Add a PDF.
  2. Select Horizontal (mirror left-to-right) or Vertical (mirror top-to-bottom).
  3. Choose target pages or apply to all pages, then process and download.

Good to know: Flipping mirrors the visual geometry of the page (unlike Rotate PDF, which turns a page without mirroring).

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Flip PDF and Rotate PDF?

Rotate turns a page like a wheel (90° or 180°). Flip creates a mirror image (left-to-right or top-to-bottom), like looking in a mirror.

Can I flip only specific pages in a PDF?

Yes. Select the pages you want to mirror in the preview before processing.

Does flip PDF pages change my original file?

No. PDFolio creates a new file for download. Your source file remains unchanged on your device.
