About invert PDF colors

Transform PDF pages into Dark Mode (inverted colors), Sepia reading mode, or Grayscale. Read bright white academic papers comfortably at night, invert dark slide backgrounds before printing to save toner, or convert color PDFs to grayscale.

Because pages are rasterized to guarantee complete color inversion across vectors and images, selectable text is replaced by rendered page images on modified pages.

Frequently asked questions

Does Invert PDF invert images and diagrams too?

Yes. Entire selected pages are pixel-inverted so bright diagrams and backgrounds become dark.

Can I convert a color PDF to black-and-white grayscale?

Yes. Select Grayscale in the Color Mode dropdown before processing.

Does invert PDF colors change my original file?

No. PDFolio creates a new file for download. Your source file remains unchanged on your device.
